They have adjusted the most uninteractive options while incentivizing and introducing counterplay. It doesn't mean you won't get walled out, it just means some of the more egregious situations and options for both you and your opponent are less prominent, but not gone. It isn't a perfect patch either, and most of the characters were affected, including your own most likely. It supposedly adds "variety" to interactions, not fixes. They don't even consider this a balance patch, just one to alleviate minor overarching frustrations.
They don't know how characters stack up against each other and want players to figure it out while they analyze instead of sledgehammer nerfing everything, with the exception of Orcane whose entire playstyle was frustrating for players (apparently).
I would wait until next patch, or however many patches it requires if you're dissatisfied. This game will be supported for a long time, so there's no need to burn yourself out on a patch you dislike.
