Interactive gameplay
Just dropped from diamond again because this game got "interactive" nerfs. I'm a bit confused as to how this game has become more interactive when i'm still getting camped/walled out by ranno, fleet, kragg, and sometimes zetter. I won't be back till next patch, just want to open a discussion of how unhelpful it's been at these ranks.

Please explain to me how this helped, exclude the meat-riding of the devs (they have pros they could've discussed/polled)

"we looked across the cast to identify particular pain points when playing against these characters and made changes to incentivize more variety and introduce counterplay into some of the less interactive options. In later patches, we will be looking closer at how the roster is stacking up against each other" -Dan from the Patch Notes

They have adjusted the most uninteractive options while incentivizing and introducing counterplay. It doesn't mean you won't get walled out, it just means some of the more egregious situations and options for both you and your opponent are less prominent, but not gone. It isn't a perfect patch either, and most of the characters were affected, including your own most likely. It supposedly adds "variety" to interactions, not fixes. They don't even consider this a balance patch, just one to alleviate minor overarching frustrations.

They don't know how characters stack up against each other and want players to figure it out while they analyze instead of sledgehammer nerfing everything, with the exception of Orcane whose entire playstyle was frustrating for players (apparently).

I would wait until next patch, or however many patches it requires if you're dissatisfied. This game will be supported for a long time, so there's no need to burn yourself out on a patch you dislike.

Dan just wanted to nerf Orcane because Alpharad annoyed him with the character. Like that's actually what the patch was for. Didn't touch Ranno needles or camping in general. Didn't address Fire Capital being like double the size of a reasonable stage (referring to the actual platform size, not just the blast zones) or Rock Wall being a circle-camping paradise.
