Maximum Resolution 2560x1440 possible?
HI, i am playing Age of Empires 2 HD Forgotten Empires. I am wondering if a connected Display with 2560x1440 is supported with its native resolution by Age HD....
Second i wanted to say that i am impressed, that age hd plays flawlessly on my macbook air within a parallels VM! awesome :)

I find it kind of funny that I keep reading reports from people playing in VMs saying that the game is awesome, while people running native are complaining that it's crap. Good to know someone's getting their money's worth :)

I've tried it on my 30" display, 2560x1600 and it works fine.... I cannot play that way since it's too far to move the mouse when you try to move so it slowed me down a lot more than the extra area helped, so I didn't get very far into the game at that resolution.

Good to know. I saw people trying to play with two or more displays and made the same experience. And Age HD uses really 2560x1600?

Yeah... good to see someone is enjoying the game, I am wasting my life trying to see some HD and not just a TC that fills half my screen, just can't get my screen resolution working at all, I have read all 96 pages on another discussion thread, can't see any reasonable answer there.. everyone has the problem.

No options in game to set graphics either.. what a rip off!

For 2013, not having any resolution settings is pretty absurd, yeah.

Look what information i found about Max. Resoultion: "The maximum resolution cap has also been raised, from 1920×1080 to 2560×1440, though the game still runs at native resolution with no option to change it in-game."

Just cause it's on the internet doesn't make it true. My guess is that reviewer only had a 2560x1400. I ran it on the 2560x1600, and I know others have run it on 3 displays (5760x1080). My guess is it maxes out at whatever Windows does.
Can confirm working resolution of 6400x4000 LOL

Tbh, I do have somewhat better performance in a Virtual Machine than I do in my native Windows 8 install. You would think with full access to hardware in native it would run better, but that's not the case.
