AOE FE population setting to 1000? Help?

[i hate this game]

Hey so I have both AOE HD and the expansion but I don't see anywhere the population of 1000. Is there any way to get this onto campaign?

why on earth would you want that? The games performance sucks even with over 100 units... O.o

In the steam version at present, it is 500. In the AoFE mod for original AoC it was 1000.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the AI. Until we get the new AIs in, the Standard AI doesn't do too well on pop limits above 200.

Browse the steam workshop and you can find a mod which allows you pop1000 by reseaching two additional techs in TCs. It's absolut a bad idea, the game will lag, even with a absolute high end computer.

-You can play with 500 population without downloading a workshop addon. To do this, when you are on the main menu, click the button near the top center to switch to AoF. Then when you create a lobby/single player game you can choose 500 as the population limit.

The new AIs don't work very well with more than 200 population either, I am experiencing lagging with the new AIs, while at the most, using population 300.

lag isn't what he meant, he meant the ais were stupid with over 200 pop, ie. they might only make 200 units ve your 500 for example.
