Can AOE 2 HD run on a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop?
My version keeps crashing when I try to start a game (I can get into the menu fine). I've tried verifying the game files, NoStartup, re-installing everything (including upgrading to Windows 10 and then going back to windows 7 when that didn't work) and a few other suggestions here.

Nothing worked which led me to the question- can it actually work on this laptop? This machine has always had poor graphics performance, and in upgrading to Windows 7 you have to install a legacy Vista graphics driver. Can this driver handle rendering AOE 2 HD?

Any insight or suggestions would be helpful

Funny enough, I use that exact laptop! Granted, it's no supercomputer but it gets the job done. AoE should work great for you too!

Which OS are you using? Did you ever have the same graphics issues?
