Can't play games and campaigns won't load

I need some help. I wwanted to start a short round of Aoe today and I found to my dismay that I couldn't launch any campaings. When I start it goes to desktop and seems to install something or other. and then gives me a message saying the servers are busy to process my game. Also when I start a singleplayer game I can't play because even though it's set to fight against AI. I het a message in the loading screen "waiting for other players." Does anyone know what the hell this is and how to fix it. Because I love this game and I'd hate to see it in this unplayable state. :(

Hey guys, i uninstalled the game then reinstalled it and that seemed to fix the problem.

I have the same problem.
Additionally, when you go to multiplayer and try to start the lobby browser the game crashes and it sais "install" again. Then, with 1% it says "installation cancelled, steam server is over capacity".
There should be another solution then reinstalling I hope.

I think "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache" might also work.

Go to Games Library > Right click Age of Empires 2 HD > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Games Cache
