Help With download/Install

Hey guys, i'm not sure what is going on and maybe you guys can help. I am having problems downloading the game. When i start from scratch it might download to about 60% and then it stops. I have to then click the download button again for it to work. It might go for another 5% But it will stop again. This is where i have to continually keep clicking for it to download over and over and over again until it just wont start anymore even if i click it. Obviously, i never complete the download. The whole time while this is going on, the icon button says play rather than instal on steam. However when i press play (without it fully downloaded) the steam launcher tries to start it and then stops and an error comes up saying : An error occured while updating Age of Empires: HD Edition (download corrupt) and then it closes. If anyone can help, that would be great. Also, its important for you guys to know that if i go into properties and try to go to local game files, nothing happens. It doesn't go to anything, my laptop doesn't do anything.
