Does this game support 8 player Free-for-all?

Hi there I'm thinking about getting this game just for the multiplayer. Could you tell me if this game supports 8 player free-for-all (with a mix of players and comps).

Also is this game worth getting for the multiplayer? I can play the original AoE II online with voobly or gameranger but it's too laggy (esp with CPUs).

yes, it does. just do not set teams and each player will be on his own. you also have diplomacy in game and can make secret allies which is fun (as long as you dont check the lock teams option)

this game is worth mainly for MP, and with the latest patches you can have lag free games if you are careful who is joining

Yes, but I'm not sure why anyone would want to do this.
