How to rename a unit in the Editor?

I was wondering how you can rename a unit, like if I wanted to rename a hero to another name. Thanks in advance.

Add a trigger with a Change Object Name effect. Select the unit you want to rename and choose a fitting name. The editor is a little buggy atm when typing text, but it should work.

It's worth noting that if you change a hero's name in the scenario editor, that hero unfortunately won't receive any technology bonuses (such as blacksmith upgrades, etc.).

You can try changing the key-value-strings-utf8.txt file. It's found in Steam/steamapps/common/AoE2HD/resources/en/strings/key-value.
