Maybe spanish and mayans? 33% trade and 33% relic = lots of free gold.
Celts + Koreans.
There are a lot of combos, but some are more complimentary than others.
Hint: The franks 20% HP bonus is misleading because they don't have bloodlines. Your advantage lasts as long as it takes the other guy to research bloodlines and then your knights are equal.
True story.
Gotta live that long though ...
Anyways good teams in a 2v2v2 are mostly likely the overpowering imperial age teams. (ie: turks, spanish, saracens, koreans possible persians) Since there are 3 teams no one is likely to flush or even castle age rush there opponent because if one team hurts there economic boom to disrupt one of their opponents ecos, all they are achieving is pissing of one team while another team gets to boom like no other and crush them in the long run. Thus most people will focus mainly on economy. So when any of the teams i mentioned get a steady inflow of gold form trade (having a spanish ally will help increase that) then they will be a deadly combination together. Mams complement almost any army (but at a hefty cost - though it won't matter with gold from trade.) Elephants with korean war wagons, spanish conquistadors or turkish Janissarys backing them would be a strong force to counter. If you want nice siege then celts or mongols can add nice siege to complement an army. Mongol Heavy scorpions/siege rams that can keep up with a calvery army can be deadly and strkie with speeds that dont leave your opponents with enough time to rebuild before you have demolished their entire base. On the other hand celtic siege with huge hp can be a slow and hard force to stop because of rams with over 400 hp along with faster shooting scorpions and fast infantry.
If you want to go solely on team bonuses then
Goths with either Aztecs/Celts/Japanese for faster building barracks
Viks with Koreans for cheaper docks
Huns with Franks/spanish/perisans - paladins Mongols maybe (High Hp hussars)
British with Saracens (faster archery ranges + archery damage to buildings)
Byz with Saracens ( Monks heal faster... maybe pull faster healing saracen monk rush :P)
Japaneses with Viks (farther sight range on gallies might help in finding fishing ships... alittle)
Spanish with Turks (better trade + faster building gunpowder units)
Spanish with any gold heavy team
Tuetons - paired with any team to counter monks
Mongols with Celts (faster building siege with fast and stronger hp siege not to mention faster shooting siege.)
I think any team of Infantry or Cav civ with Archery or Gunpowder civ is the best way to go.
