playing this version on mac with boot camp or wine?

This is a post for my friend as me and my friends would like to play with him, and all he has is a MAC. For the previous version of the game, you can play it in bootcamp or wine, and I'm wondering if booting MAC in bootcamp or wine and installing Steam there, if you would be able to run AoE 2HD like that?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

also, if anyone knows how to do this, can you give a somewhat detailed FAQ on how to get it working? my friend isn't the most tech savy mac user out there.

yep, i play aoe2 hd with bootcamp and no problem (i got win7).

Yea you would need to buy windows, that is the problem a lot of people have. Including myself

You shouldn't try wine for now, unless you want to deal with a lot of trouble... but it's doable :)
