Most Popular Maps for this?

I'm trying to get a list together of the most popular maps, or the ones that you remember the most. Reason for this, is that there will be compatibility between old map files and the new "game".

So far:

Castle Blood
Archer Blood

.....

Yeah.. not much. That's where you come in, since I never played multiplayer more than twice online with 2.

There were a few rpg style maps that were beautiful. TD and blood maps were always fun.

The most played map nowadays is CBA and CBA Hero!

Castle Blood Automatic and Castle Blood Automatic Hero are the most popular aoe2 maps ever. Just go to GameRanger or Voobly, like 80% of the Custom Scenario rooms are these maps.

Other popular maps are Tower Defence maps, PTO maps, diplo maps, world maps and a new map called Roll the Dice has become really popular.

Chaos Blood was the best custom scenario. It was soooooo good.

Castle Blood the original not CBA, Archers Hellfire, Spider blood, Flix Hero Defense, Masters RPG, u da prey. Just to name a few. Got to stick with the games from way back on MSN not these new sites.

I have to disagree with this statement. Yes they are the most popular in GameRanger and Voobly. However, anyone who played this game online before these two clients knows that CBA didn't exist. The original Castle Blood (Nightcryo) was by far the most played, and IMO much better than CBA. CBA is a dumbed down version of Castle Blood, which often resorts to whoever kills more gates first wins, because they get a villager. CBA eliminates the need to strategize with your teamcomp, and instead turns into a rush for razes to get a villager. I for one hate CBA, and have been disappointed ever since it rose in popularity.

The original Castle Blood is much better, because it encourages use of counter-play to beat your opponents. Villagers are rewarded in Castle Blood, but were much much harder to get that in CBA. Therefore using your Civ to counter another Civ in the game was very rewarding. In CBA, whoever gets a Villager, and Paladins faster wins.

You really have to distinguish between scenarios and maps. All the castle bloods were scenarios. The maps do not contain events and switches like scenarios do. One of the most popular maps for pvp in the zone were Michi-Maps. Michi-Oasis and so on. This maps were optimized for 4vs4 pvp, less crappy objects, optimized resources and so on.

those were awesome
Radical and desert blood required much more skill then those CBA

I loved all of the old RPG scenarios.

DBZ, Ravenous, Warriors Odyssey II, LotR Helm's Deep, Resident Evil, simpsons, vampire.

Man I can't even remember half of the good ones anymore I wish I had my old HDD still.

Does anyone remember that scenario where you all started off as scouts and after getting kills you could level up into light cavalry, then hussars? That one was so much fun from what I remember, I just wish I knew the name so I could find it.

I remember it too, but I can't remember the name of it! I have a feeling it was called something like "scouts RPG", but Googling gets me nowhere... if you find it, could you please send me a link or something?
