Standard or moderate difficulty level

Are these the same, or is moderate more difficult than standard?

Well moderate is higher than standard so yes...

Standard - Easy
Moderate - Medium
Hardest - Hard

If anything, the skill level jump from standard to moderate is the biggest rt now.

I used to have no issue beating two allied AIs on Hard in the original, but I can't reliably beat one on Moderate now. Definitely feels harder than it used to be. Even slightly cheesy maneuvers like a forward barracks and certain rush BOs don't seem effective when the AI can tech up so fast while still building units.

I can kamikaze take out even a Hard AI (Promi not Petersen) with a Archers + Skirms + Tower rush. AIs will always have artificial stupidity.

Hardest is only for very experienced players. You have been warned. :)
