Modern Mod?
I have looked around, can't find one, does anyone know if there is a modern day mod for AOE 2?

A modification for the game with new factions like USA, Russia etc, with tanks instead of cavalry, army troops etc

Better off playing through the Command & Conquer series rather than wait / try to find a mod for AOE2HD for that.

Empire Earth, because there is no other mod for AOE2.

Empires: Dawn of the Modern World does a rather good job of bringing AoE gameplay into a world war setting. You can play as UK, US, Germany, Russia and France during WW1 and WW2. All the factions have completely different units and technologies.

It was directed by Rick Goodman, who was the lead designer on AoE1, and probably a good part of AoK too until he left. He then formed his own studio Stainless Steel in '98. 3 games were made with Stainless Steel, Empire Earth, Empires:DotMW and Rise and Fall. Because of this the games are very similar in many aspects(AoE series, Empire Earth 1 and Empires:DotMW).

Sigh, I wish Tony and Rick would get on kickstarter with a new RTS.
