How to beat Into China (Genghis Khan)?
I am playing this on Standard difficulty, but I keep getting trampled by the Chinese. I have tried building my base up north (near the forage bushes), and building it on the Engineers' side (in different playthroughs).

I can destroy Jin's wonder with no problem (Petards are the best, lol); it's dealing with their endless Cavaliers and Chu Ko Nu that gets me.

And then there's the other guys that keep destroying my buildings...

Please help!

they just came with conquerors.

I noticed that you put up a video from the same guy on one of my other threads :) But that is seriously one of the craziest wins I have ever seen.

I didn't even know that the bombard cannons were near the Tangut settlement, lol.

I know what you mean. I played this game when I was younger, and I would use cheats all the time--"how do you turn this on" was my favorite :P

Now I'm just playing through every campaign without cheating :)

Okay. I could get the Tanguts just fine, but the Jin send out Cavaliers in addition to the archers. So I couldn't just sneak into the Jin base, lol.

I just built a strong economy early on, defend the west side with castles and Mangudais and then land on the yellow base (Jin, maybe?) and there build some stables, siege workshops and another castle. I created Heavy Camels and Rams, and with some naval support, I achieved to destroy him. Then, I just had to move to the west and start conquering with an army of Mangudais and Rams. It was on Hard difficulty.

Whoa.

Much respect to you :coolthulhu:

I can't even begin to think how difficult Hard would be :P

The key is to destroy Jin (yellow in the east) first, and place your base in that island on the east. The rest is just matter of patience, since the rest of enemies don't use ships, you are completely safe in the east island, at least in standard difficulty. Fortunately, when I played, for some reason Jin didn't built the wonder, so I could take my time to conque Jin.

From my experience, about 40ish minutes into the game, Jin starts to build the wonder.

But yeah, I try to conquer Jin, but their archers and Cavaliers just overwhelm my forces @_@

Never mind. I just got myself about 20 mangudai, 5 rams, and tore through Jin like a beast :coolthulhu:

(But I used Petards to take down the Wonder, lol.)

I used this video:

The hardest part about that map for me is taking out that ♥♥♥♥♥ Jin's wonder. They ALWAYS build it way too fast, and defend the hell out of it before you can amass a half decent army leading to a lot of restarts.

The success I had with it was sneaking some units to the south part of the island (behind some trees) to build a forward base and then rushing the wonder with fast rams loaded with champs.

As for the rest of 'em, Mangudai. Just mass Mangudai and a few trebs. There's no reason to train any other unit. You might need a few LC's to watch out for enemy onagers, but other than that Mangs wreck just about every unit the Chinese throw at you easily.

Thats' what I love about the Khan campaign, is that the mangudai are so f-ing broken in it and the AI can't build up a proper response anyway. Now if only it was played on 200 pop...

get villlagers, move everything to yellow island, start TC outside of walls, vills on wood, dock for all the fish.

go castle, meanwhile kill the gate with the mange, in castle build a castle inside enemy walls and secure a gold and stone spot, go imperial, build trebuchets and kill the yellow guy, then build a real army and land on the mainland and kill everyone.
