The idea behind the design was that you had a build and destroy or a fixed force alternative. The premise behind fixed force is it is more tactical and you need to protect against losses as best you can.
I try to make my scenarios not punish the player too much for mistakes but because of the tactical nature of fixed force, I was less generous in this case. Try using your units to take down the building and if you can't do it, I recommend starting over.
What I question is that it is quite unforgiven. For example I lost my cannon early and then it is practically game over. I you could found one ram or two elsewhere it would be easier. Also the units that Kiwa is spawning never ends and this makes it even harder. especially with gates with towers behind when you have no siege.
I also found campaign number two on portuguese to be quite challenging. Yellow does very early start spawning heavy (or even imperial) camels and other horses against your wood and you dont have that much time to build up.
However this must not be a bad thing. If you have played some multiplayer and are experienced to boom while you build troops you can still manage. And this difficulty might be a good surprise for theses kind of players. But one must also think on all the players which have returned to age of empires 2 HD and have not played since the original game came out 15 years ago. For those players that might not remeber how to play effiecntly these new campaigns must be very hard.
Again thank you for your answer and once again I think the new campaign is great. Really enjoying it!
