What's your fastest wonder time?

I pulled off a 28 minute Wonder Race with Byzantine today. I wondew if it's humanly possible to go 2~5 minutes faster than this? What's your fastest wonder time?

We talking Arabia? I always have fun with stuff like this so I just tried Arabia with Spanish and did 26:41. Only tech I got was double bit axe (no loom). Went with 31 vills in Dark I think. Ended up with 34 vills total.

Maybe we can make a contest for fun out of this?

EDIT: Beat it by 1 second with Byz, 26:40. I think Spanish might be better though because of how long it takes to build that wonder.

RE-EDIT: Just got 26:05 with Spanish on Arabia (no techs at all). That's it for me for tonight. Anyone beats this time and I'll try again! :)

Tried it again with Spanish, 27:45 is the best I can get. This really tests one's resource management to the limit.

I've seen a 25:12 spanish wonder race on arena with the standard resources with really solid execution. But you can go faster on maps with more resources.

Yeah Yucatan would be faster because you wouldn't need to farm. Also a water map would be faster because you can have fishing boats collect the food to age up while your land vills concentrate mostly on wood/gold/stone for the wonder. That's why I asked what map we're doing so all things would be equal.

I was messing around with this again tonight and I broke 26 mins on Arena with Spanish -- 25:56

This time I went 32 vills in Dark. 8 farms. Lured deer. Was able to make 2 vills in Feudal and 2 in Castle this way, then add a few more vills after I imped to help build the wonder. I got the gold mining tech (only tech I got) because of how much gold you need.

I wish the game kept track of personal bests, like wonder time, most units killed in a match, fastest imperial time, etc.

no one joins when i host a wonder race game, i waited like an hour, and singleplayer is boring.

he also told me that the spanish build bonus doesnt work on wonders.

I'm pretty sure it does work, because I can Imp faster with Byz and start the wonder faster, but the wonder ends up getting finished later than when I'm using Spanish.

i dont know i started building my wonder 2 seconds later as him, i was spanish and he aztec but diddnt got it faster up. We both had 37 vills.

I tested it in a scenario, and the Spanish did 5:30 minutes aprox. and the Bizantines 6:30, 25 villagers.

I gave this a shot. Managed to get 25:24 with Spanish on arena. I went up to feudal with 31 vils, made 2 in feudal, 2 in castle, and 1 more in imp. I did have to use the market a bit to buy food to get up to imp, so the build can definitely be improved.

--I got double bit axe and the gold mining upgrade immediately upon hitting feudal.
