But these trees could be special in that villagers or scouts could destroy them fast.
This could be an early tactic for scouts, to destroy any trees that an enermy plants. Although thinking more deeply about that brings up the question of, who would even build trees early in game. When most if not all start locations have loads of trees to get you at least into castle age.
Then again you could plant trees near your towb centre and quickly chop them down, instead of wasting 175 wood on a lumber camp. Which could go towards another baracks. Something like that.
Or it could be made that trees can't be build too far from a town centre.
Does not even have to be automatic.
