the old Conquers expansion?

iv played the Age of Kings and the Conquers expansion back when i was just a kid (great game btw) but this one on steam only says AOE II. i checked the DLCs and i dint see the expansion there so i was wonder if the game already has the expansion in it since im my opinion its makes a good game great and it i don't know if i could buy this with out it knowing what i know about the Conquers expansion...

This version has Conquers preincluded but you must by the forgotten, Rise of Rajas, and African Kingdom separate. This version will be the closet to CD.

All of the above is included in the definitive edition for free with several new civ based DLCs.

So the choice is yours in what one to purchase.

ok ty for the info.i already have the AOE DE but i dint like it. for some reason i could not beat a single mission on the easiest difficulty. it was a wile ago so i dont remember why i couldn't win but what i do remember is that not even using cheats could help and i only use those when im desperate. i still lost the mission repeatedly and ill never touch the instant victory cheat so i gave up X_X

Of course they have it, since that was part of the full version of the game even two decades ago.

But if you want a more complete version of the game in its present state than just that, and given the fact the DLCs eventually became a bit of a mess unless you really got into them (other than being about certain parts of the world & stuff, IMO) I’d go with The Forgotten DLC. It was what originally gave the devs the idea to make more exp. packs:

(I’m just saying the following expansion is probably closest to the original game ones and they nailed it pretty well… I wouldn’t say it’s perfect.)

My guess is once you play the game from that point though, you’re going to enjoy the Definitive edition a fair bit more… As long as you’ve still got it! That’s likely because the AI has been significantly revamped, so beating it can be hard especially when you do set it to that. For now, all you have to do is practice more and get your skills up.

I’m sure that some are better than others though, for example… The towers of the Japanese fire off about a bunch more arrows meaning… That if you play as then it rains down lots of arrows on your enemies.

Also a whole another faction for the Mesoamericans - The Incas was added to the game, if you like the Aztecs or the Mayans but not both… Like you found one wasn’t your thing… I imagine the Incas will add some flare, or if not some more upgrade techs be added to the game - Mayan archers end up being even better than before or something like that.

Eagle Warriors go pretty hard.

yeah i started with age of kings and my best friend at the time had the conquers version then after playing his i knew i must have it too then my grandma got me the expansion for ether my birthday or Christmas. now i want it on this platform. :D i have AoE 3 and 4 as well as AoM too :)

The same, I believe... When I first got it was still just the Age of Empires II.

Then after that... I either got the conquerors edition or the gold, probably the former.

Damn these games are good... Haha. I think one more expansion would've been enough.
