Aoe2 HD doesn’t start

Hello, I decided to buy the game but it doesn’t seem to start, when I click on play it shows playing and then nothing happens and back to play, i have tried several fixes but doesn’t seem to work, i suspect it’s because of win7 that I use? If you guys can help please do

AoE 2 HD should work on Windows 7. That being said - why didn't you buy AoE 2 DE? That one also works on Win 7 but has all the content from this already in its base game.

AoE 2 HD should work on Windows 7. That being said - why didn't you buy AoE 2 DE? That one also works on Win 7 but has all the content from this already in its base game.

Wondering that as well, specially considering that AoEII:DE Is cheaper than AoEII:HD

Well yea my computer ain’t strong enough to run definitive edition, the specs requirement difference in both games is huge and I wanted the og experience after getting hands on it after long time

Judging from the games in your library your PC should be actually strong enough to run DE :) What are your specs?

4gb ram and 2gb graphics, I don’t think it would run well

Graphics shouldn't be the issue (I remember launching DE with a GTX 670) but yeah... RAM could be the problem.

It’s fine I’ll play hd edition, played some good matches today after 7-8 years and I’m enjoying it, next year I’ll be getting new pc anyway so I’ll buy both aoe 2 and 3 def when on sale for that, thanks
