Does AOE II HD include gold edition?

I know there is DLC with other expansions... but I was wondeirng if the regular one includes the expansions from the gold edition (on disc.) This would be Age of Kings and Conquerers. Or are the only expansions available the Forgotten and African kingdoms?

Just wondering! I have the CD-ROM version of the AOE II gold edition, and am trying to decide whether to bother with the AOE II HD version on Steam.

Conquerors is included in the base game, yes. If you already have the CD, I would invest in HD only if you want the expansions, else just use your CD version & Voobly.

Okay, thanks! At least I know I won't be missing anything with the HD version on Steam (just gaining a couple expansions!).

also steam aoe2 hd does not include the age of empires 1
at least my gold edition does so thats also something missing in the steam release

Oh I didn't expect it to include the first one. (I have that on disc as well).
My gold edition is only II anyway (with the expansions).

Could be... mine's just the Age of Empires II: Gold Edition, that comes with the kings and conquerers expansion.

mines called the same i think, but maybe not its long ago i installed it anywhere as it does not need a cd after installing (like an inbuilt no-cd crack) so i simply used usb sticks to get it to newer pcs when i got a new one
