Not sure though if this is a pro-tip.
My advice is to try a more offensive play style where your strategy revolves around a sequence of certain army compositions and reactions to triggers. Sure even though the defensive party will always be able to counter your units you will then control what kind of games you play and don't have to deal with the uncertainty as to what to do next which is what cause you to stagnate and die. It will also contribute to games being sufficiently similar that they're easier to learn from.
Here is an idea of a strategy I like with camel civilizations vs non mesoamerican where the point is to control what happens:
1.Start attacking with something like 6+6scouts in feudal focusing on delaying building farm production and don't let them die.
2. If the enemy reacts by going spears you can defend with a few swords out of that first barrack and get lots of cav archers in castle against to and if they react by going knights I'll get camels out of my already existing stables. If they went knights I'll play eco but win the battles and if they went infantry they're stuck defending untill I can get mangonels up.
Does this work well? Not really but they point is that I got to control what units my enemy used by an early attack so they can't do what they want to do and can do well.
Tower attacks in feudal serve the same prupose: forcing the enemy to play the game in a way you chose.
If you don't want to attack in feudal then the fast castle should have a military element like immediately after getting up your second TC getting bunch of cav.archers and heading out or putting up a well placed castle really quickly and start producing your unique unit for some tactical strike.
And of course just changing your name wont do anything, you also need to change your attitude that gave you this name in the first place.
But some advice anyway -- Don't build 3 or 4 additional TCs unless you're on BF or something. If you're going to have to fight in Castle Age, you want to build no more than 2 additional TCs, usually one or none. In order to build knights non-stop out of 1 or 2 stables (or Hun CAs out of multiple ranges), you can't afford the TCs. For example, if you want to go full knights (2 stables) in early Castle, you're going to stick with one TC, you'll need 14 on gold (I think IIRC) and you're going to need to spend all the wood you've got on farms. I think you need about 18 farms to keep your TC and the 2 stables going. If you go 1 stable knights, you can build 1 additional TC.
SP AI-bashing is always something I've found rather fun. The fact when you realise you have one non-fortified gate between you and their entire army, but aren't actually attacking the gate and there's no other way in...
.... unfortunately, human opponents aren't that stupid.
I find I spend not much time in the Castle age - it's either a full-on Flush, a turtle to Imp and start spamming elite UUs (I used a modded game BTW), or just sit back behind my defenses and watch as their rams get butchered by mangonels (I did say I was using a modded game, yes?)
I also disagree with the way he names himself but it should be none issue when hes clearly just asking for advice here. The only one that seems to act like a ♥♥♥♥ here is you.
@Fweener
So rushing 3TCs right after getting Castle Age is bad idea? I thought it's good idea because it let you spam more villagers to get more resources... Well, I was losing with this strategy anyway.
About my nickname - that wasn't my idea. At first I had "Oskar" (my real name) as my steam nickname, but people were laughing at me in other games that it isn't very creative. I asked my best friend to find me one, he always was a good with this kind of things. 5mins later he came up with this one... and sometimes people at Rocket League or CS:GO say that it's funny, mostly because of that "cpt."... but yeah, I don't really think that name means anything.
It's really not a problem wich name you use, don't worry about me and others not liking it (unless you use something extremely offensive).
Yeah don't rush the TCs unless you're on a wallable map, otherwise you can get steamrolled by a guy that goes all-in military. Focus on military first and then add TCs as you can afford them later on.
This is good stuff. After you scout your own area, scout your enemy and pay attention to what military buildings he has and what resources he's gathering. Look for forwards. Etc. If he has a lot of guys on gold you know he's going heavy military. If he has a lot of guys on stone he's going tower rush or castle drop or something like that. Good scouting is really important so you can prepare for what he's going to do before he does it.
