Best Timing-->Fast Castle-->Standard Arabia-->6 Knights with no upgrades
I see a lots of enthusiasts posting blogs and sharing videos on a fast castle age builds.

What I am expecting to get out of this discussion though is not just a fast castle age build order which can be achieved with fewer villager counts but being able to create 6 knights with the best case build order.

So, my goal is to find the optimal villager count during Dark Age and Feudal Age to go to Castle Age and be able to create 6 Knights with best timing.


Please, share your ideas with a bit details so that I can copy your ideas and test if it really works.

If you basically follow the Fast Castle Build order in this guide, you're fine. Helped me a lot to improve.

Thank you Szaladon, but I am looking for that precise path to achieving the fastest 6 knight production at standard settings.
I understand that what theoretically possible might not be completely applicable during in-game situation but I just want to know the precise numbers so that I have good insight at what needs to be done for maximum efficiency.

A Knight Rush is basically Fast castle with villager ressource transition. There is a second video of a 2k2+ Voobly which can help you if you don't believe me.

Thank you again Szaladon. Tatoh's video is awesome and its 28+2 vills towards Castle Age compared to conventional 26+2, which makes it comfortable to spam knights as soon as you hit Castle Age.
I don't disagree with you but I am trying to find something different, I am trying to find the optimal case with the least amount of villagers in Dark Age & Feudal Age so be able to create 6 Knights in quickest time.
Anyways, thank you. I am testing like a madman about this, so I will certainly post anything interesting that I come across.

Do you want the fastest time you can get out 6 knights, regardless of any eco ? Or you want a proper build order for actual gameplay, where you add extra TC and such ?

If you just want the fastest time to get 6 knights out, you can try a 22+0 Khmer build with pushing deer. Otherwise something like 22+0 (idle TC in feudal) as mongols could work too.

Thank you for putting interest on this TriRem. Thanks for pointing out Khmer and Mongol possibility. I also think CIVS(with Knights) with some ECO bonuses or upgrading AGE bonuses would do great for this fastest "6 Knights" mission that I am after.

But for the sake of generalization lets put Byzantines on this mission. After knowing what's the best timing for Byzantines for this mission we can deduce the calculations for other CIVS.

Now, to your question about "regardless of any eco or a proper build with things like adding a TC". Lets consider the proposition without having to create any TC. But, no use of market selling or buying. So, I would say with a proper build for sustainable late game with fastest "6 Knights out" in main focus. So, may be additional TCs only after "6 Knights out", hence additional TCs may be slightly delayed because of the mission in mind.
