always loom before 1st boar?
I dont know why these stupid villagers suddenly stops moving. its impossible to lure boars to TC without dying if no loom. in multiplayer beucase every game has hard lag regardless of player pings

Yes it is. Takes practice. You can also try to interupt the boar by a few seconds with another villager, scout, building, or unit. Though sounds like your just suffering some awful lag. Sorry man.

always loom in a lag game

If you find that your villagers stop seemingly without reason, make sure that when you tell them to move back to the TC, that you do not click on the TC directly or on another resource. If it's not a pure move command that can cause villagers to stop.

Use your hotkeys, when I go to nab my first boar I typically have loom researched after building 4 vills. I hit the boar twice with one villager and I use "G" the default garrison hotkey and my villager goes into the TC no matter what. I found that if I didn't use G and I instead moved the villager back to the TC, my villager, who boasts a incredible IQ of -12 WOULD ATTCK THE BOAR AND TRY TO FIGHT HIM. Sorta like meatheads in High School. They are always trying to pick fights with you for no apperent reaseon. So the villager would fight the boar when the boar caught up the villager would fight the boar and DIE. So I use G and idle up 5 vills when the boar gets close, so when my bait vill is garrisoned he boar just sat under the TC bamboozeld

Reading this probably won't help you, but as you get more experienced you will kinda get a feeling for when to research loom and when not to, considering both lag hardness and spawning distance from your tc to the boar. Generally in an extraordinarily laggy game researching loom is not a bad idea though.

Not sure if it actually has any effect whatsoever, but every single time I'm luring a boar I rightclick the tc about 5 times, and ever since I've started doing this my villagers haven't turned around to pretend like they're brave and fight the boar

IF you tell your vill to gather something (like sheep under the tc) or if he has food and you right click the tc, he will stop to fight the boar after being hit. You must click the ground under the tc or behind it so it's a pure move command

That's really good to know. Thank you for sharing this.

I would also like to add that the later you research loom the better because that way you lose less resources. So if you need to get loom before luring and still have sheep left I think it's better to finish them first. What changes things is if the opponent is capable of stealing your boar in which case you should lure them sooner :)

if you tell the villager to go into the TC he wont stop..

I always get loom after 7th or 8th villager in 3v3 or 4v4 laggy games. It's not only for luring boars, but I find there's a few seconds gap between when I hit the hotkey to make the vill and when it actually starts making it, and food is always tight in Dark until the mill is established and boar food is coming in, so with a 3-4 second gap between each vill, I end up being a vill behind anyway and risk losing another to boar -- I'd rather loom and not have to deal with the forced drop-offs and risk and headache.

Also find in those games I have to click the vill back after the 1st shot, and then the vill will start walking back sometime after the 2nd or 3rd shot.

You don't need loom for boar unless your micro is starters level. In fact, you must avoid researching loom until you have like 19-20 villagers if you want a competitive economy.

But yeah, the exceptions are when you play a laggy game (or otherwise can't micro the delay in 5.1 - which is why you should go for 5.3), or when the boar is too far away and you don't know how to block the boar. It's a waste of time otherwise seeing as you need to lure the first boar at like 11 villagers and the second one at around 14.

lag results in villager taking more hits but when villager decides to stop then he dies regardless of hp and I was not clicking any res. if it lag then he dies before its possible to move him again

Sometimes I research loom after I hit feudal, sometimes later after hitting castle or short before researching castle, sometimes earlier. You don't need to get loom before the boar. If they are far away you should probably, because of the long way and there are maybe wolves.
When to get loom depends on:
Way from boar to tc (straight or with obstacles?)
Range to nearest enemy (he maybe drush u -> get loom)
Can u wall up?
Are you pocket and planing a fast castle?
Are there many wolves on the map?

Delay loom as much as you can, so you are a villager ahead to people who already got loom. If you can delay it longer, your advantage is bigger. But don't forget to get loom If you see yourenemy producing military.
