As we experienced in our marathon come back win the other night (us and 2 AI's vs 4 Hardest AI's) our green pocket AI ally wasn't doing much quite often and just had his army in his base scattered around his TC. Once in a while he'd wake up and use it. Whereas our yellow ally fought very well, but he was always under pressure to do so.
It would be nice if the HD devs would tell us which of these basic taunts the AI responds too.
http://ageofempires.wikia.com/wiki/Taunts and scroll down to AOE2
Though there are some more, hidden commands (for example 100 forces to AI to fight to the end and not surrender).
I've found they're not the most reliable....
... nothing quite like your human ally sharing the bench with you on separate computers so you can yell in his ear and point in his minimap :P
Which of the 25 stickied threads? And what quote?
Just because they say they are going to look into the AI in the future, this doesn't mean that has anything to do with the ally AI issues we are talking about.
I also noticed that they can't play maps where they start on an island (e.g. Islands), because when they run out of resources on their main island they don't try to colonize the smaller islands which are rich with minerals and/or trees. Instead they all drop their (pick)axes and stop moving.
