Celts sheep bonus SUCKS
Okay, so I recently tried out the celts, and there is one thing I just don't understand whatsoever, and that is in which world their sheep bonus is useful even remotely. In fact, it has more negative sides to it than positive, and here's why:

The abilty reads: Sheep not converted if in 1 Celt unit's line of sight.

In actuality, you also DO convert sheep to your color if they come into one of your unit's line of sight, so it's a bit misleading already.

However, that seems to up the bonus right? You can walk under your opponent's TC and snatch their sheep from them right under their noses! Well, no. The most you can do is disrupt their sheep gathering a little bit, but they can still just enter the TC and kill your scout dead while you're trying to get your sheep (and the scout) out of its range.

It's much more useful not to convert it in fact. Because scout cavalry can oneshot a sheep that is NOT your color. What does that mean? Instant 100 loss of food for your opponent, that's what it means. Celts can't do this, as sheep can't be deleted, and scout cavalry can't kill sheep in your own color.

The only way it would be remotely useful is when the enemy is actually escorting their sheep back, and you steal it, and they are forced to kill it rather than letting you have it. But even then, they can just fight you instead, giving them an equal chance in most circumstances to end up on top.

What can be done then? I'm suggesting a small tweak to balance this bonus out: Sheep owned by Celts cannot be killed by enemy units if it's within one Celt unit's line of sight. This gives them an insurance against sheep laming, instead of a bonus that is completely garbage and useless.

Yeah I just played that civ the other night. It really doesn't make much sense. Need to chat with a Dev about that probably better insight on the reddit page. lol Someone was drunk.

It really does suck needs to be replaced or fixed somehow.

It only worked out really well once if I remember my celtic scot ran past enemy town center took over that players sheep.

Player rings town bells to kill celtic scot as it runs away the town centers arrows actually hit all the sheep while trying to kill the Celtic scot.

All sheep dead + celtic scot but no more sheep for enemy.

But as the frist comment pointed out enemy scot can run over to celtic town and kill off celtic sheep at the start of a game.

Not much of a Bonus is it.

well if sheeps would be able to be deleted by pressing the deletekey we would have the old celt bonus in a way that actually works
