No it's not a bug. When you run the game for the first time, your UI resolution will be set to 320 x 200 px.

Go to configure -> video -> User Interface, set your correct aspect ratio FIRST, then
your UI resolution, THEN go back to the video menu and set the correct video resolution.

If you can't set it this way, DaMoot above me provided you a more detailed way to do it.

Edit 2: well, Erik, basically you have to edit your.cfg file according to your wanted resolution (which should be the native resolution of your monitor) so the first lines do look like this

it will rock for a long time... why a 24"? go for 27" for that resolution.:D

i think i konw what you mean but, windows open or not, resolution just will not change.
