Hello! i am a rp pve guy as well. I play pvp once in awhile but prefer to grow and be a millionaire safely in the game :) These 2 are good solid servers for pve with challenge.
Namalsk is kinda new and traders are much more spaced out compared to cherno and much smaller i believe.

Try out the DayOne Namalsk servers. They're usually full, so you'll probably have to wait in a queue unless you join at a reset time. They are a lot of fun though. People still kill on sight, but you're bound to find a run group to run with eventually.

Our server is mainly focused on Basebuilding and a good mix of PvP and PvE. Airdrops are enabled to give people an opportunity to grab some high tier items, while also providing a place for people to look for PvP.Traders are disabled, to make looting, raiding and airdrops more vital. The joy of finding that one rare weapon or storage-item that you've been looking for all week! You don't get that as much on servers with NPC-traders enabled.We do however encourage people to trade with eachother (use our Discord). This increases player interaction and still gives people a higher chance to get what they're looking for. Killing someone you're trading with is not allowed (Same goes for ambushing)!We've enabled all the mods and settings that we believe will help the PvP experience.

The BrothHood Of Survivors is a Packed modded server, Aimed More toward survival and the unknown.

MAIN FEATURES:
* PvE, with PvP (and KoS) zones at Northwest Airfield, Tisy military base, Chernogorsk, and Elektrozavodsk. (Use your own common sense to determine if it falls within that zone. Punishment is handed on staff's discretion with no right of appeal after punishment has been issued.) Players that prefer full-PvE can stay outside of these zones without the danger of getting shot. As for full-PvP, that applies in the same way to the zones. Players that want to PvP should always roam around the zones to find the action.
* Raiding is only allowed if a base is within these zones. (Same rule mentioned above applies here as well.)
* A large variety of base building additions in the form of several mods.
* A map accessible for everyone by pressing M (default), and the ability to place client-sided markers for personal orientation. (Also features server-sided markers set by administrators.)
* Trader safezones for players to purchase and sell weapons, gear, and whatnot, or to simply chill and hang out.
* A large variety of weapon mods, fitting the vanilla DayZ experience.
* Leaving the vanilla DayZ pre-1.0 feeling of nostalgia intact, with rare M4s, FALs, and similar weapons, only slightly boosting their spawn quantities from vanilla.
* Trusted and experienced staffteam that know what they're doing.

As for our dependency of random players to be able to make the game enjoyable for everyone (More players, more fun), we are willing to teleport new-spawners to any location of choice for once. (Be it NWAF, be it to their friends, be it Prison Island.) You can say we're in desperate need of players, as it wouldn't be the first server I had to shut down due to the lack of consistent player connections. I'm sure a lot of server owners understand this everlasting frustration.We hope with the posting of advertisements like these, that we can enjoy having players drop in and drop out at a somewhat consistent rate so that the server isn't empty all the time.
