.63 Indoor Sounds Buzzing/Static
Whenever I enter most buildings, the sound starts to buzz/become staticy, and it comes and goes, but it's there for 80% of the time I'm indoors.

Hmm...normally the sound should get "muted" a bit, like when you're indoors in real life...you can still hear the outside, but not as loud...try verifying your gamefiles and check for driver updates as also for any strange setting you may have accidentally made...if nothing helps, open a ticket on the bugtracker..

The sound does get muffled like it should. It's just that, a lot of the time, heavy static fades in and out. I remember my audio doing the same thing back when I was having overheating problems with my processor, but I know that's not the case this time.

Might be still worth checking the temps than...you never know...

I have. This is the only game that does this, and it seems to be triggered by footsteps inside buildings about 10% of the time, and almost all ambient noises, like creaking wood, do it all the time.

Hi all!

Yes same happening to me fellas & by reading even older threads on the net, everyone are saying that they are using a Logitech G model headset of some short.

I´m using one my self, a Logitech G633 Artemis, connected with USB, not into a soundcard nor onboard sound. it´s disabled in Bios.

Still searching if anyone found any answers yet or a minor hotfix solution? :-)

It must be the headset then, because I'm using the exact same one. Weird.

Yes maybe the drivers? Also there are reports together logitech and AMD FX xxxxx
My is AMD FX 8350 - 8 core cpu

And on those threads it was on Windows 7-64bit and Windows 10

I will continue search some more later on the evening! :-)

Oh one more thing that bugs out, I´m having quite alot of CTD applications error crashes?
Some whatever i restart the game I play a few minutes and CTD. I restart the game again then I play abet much for longer and then again CTD.

I wonder if that is due to when I´m entering a house to long with that annoying buzz cripple glas sound bug when walking around?

I never hade those major CTD´s before & nor any of those sound bugs in the previous official versions, till I installed the stress test version and now on the experimental version, it got the same sound bug and crashes to CTD?

I hope that this 2 issues are reported and or can be fixed or if that is my own side problem?
ops got to run! ^_^ GL out there fellas!

Is this the issue you are having?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIhtXQVVHu0

It has been a huge problem for people in Arma 3 and will now affect DayZ as well with the newly updated sound system for 0.63. The issue consists while using certain AMD processors combined with certain 7.1 headsets (via USB). There has been no permanent fix yet without negative impact such as quality downgrade or buying new hardware.

One temorary thing you could call a fix would be to plug your headset in via the 3.5mm jacks (the green and red wire connectors) directly to your PC without the USB. This will for most headsets downgrade audio and especially mic quality.
[My system: W10, FX-6300, Logitech G430]

Did you two open a ticket on the bug tracker already? Seeing that you both use logitech stuff, maybe the devs could have a look into that or, even better, contact logitech to see if their driver is the issue? It's always better when developers contact other companys instead of us users...companies tend to listen to devs more than us, since they want to sell thier products... but when it's know that this or that product isn't working with a game, people buy other stuff...

I have had a ticket up for a good few months now, yes. A moderator or similar came by and asked a question or two before pinning it to "Need More Info", but I answered it almost immediately without the pin being taken off, so I'm not sure if it has got "forwarded" or however they proccess it.

You can find my ticket here: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T128609

Yup..that doesn't look that bad...but with the new information that the logitech headset seems to be the most likely culprit, you could make an update to your ticket..to try and get the attention of Geez again...it just might be gotten put on "whenever there's time", because of all the troubles with the stresstest, like players locked in database and BattlEye related kicks, crashes and such...
