The regular launcher is FUBAR.
What's likely happening is one of two things:
1. Your ping is too high so you aren't returning any search results because they default filter 300+ ping or whatever the default number is.
2. The Launcher is interacting with your internet in an particular way (VERY VERY VERY COMMON FOR DAY Z) that causes your internet to timeout. Setting a ping limit on the search helps fix this issue for some, but not all. As suggested before, if this is your issue use the DayZSA Launcher, or as I suggested try the Day Z Client server browser instead of the launcher list.
Nah, I ended up with this issue earlier today. No servers but I just kept clicking on different tabs and it worked again. But I could be wrong and it is a firewall issue, even though I didn't have a firewall pop up.
