Game doesn't run that great on a fully decked pc, it will be unplayable on a mac running any kind of virtual platform.

You only need give it something like 20gig, but if your not willing to do that then your only option is to buy a pc.

Have you done it?

Ok to those of you saying no it does not work, you are wrong. I have a 2009 Macbook Pro 4 gigs of ram and 250gb hd with an Nvidia Geforce 320m graphics card. I used the bootcamp with windows 7 and gave it like 50 gigs or so of hd space. I installed dayz and it works great, I play on mostly low/normal settings and I get like...20 er so fps I mean you cant see lag untill you get to cities. However the game IS playable I have been playing for 30+ hours no probs you can play it on the mac bootcamp.

Press the power button of your MAC until it turns off, throw it out the window, build a PC, install dayz, PROFIT??????

Dude you are using a mac, everything on mac is desinged to be very easy and simple. When the time comes you will choose how much space you wish to use as bootcamp with a slider... simple as that

I play it on a mac... Works just fine when you use bootcamp. I do happen to have a legit copy of windows 7 to switch to though.

Just realize its buggy enough as it is to play video games on a computer. Trying to use anything but a real version of windows and anything but a real version of bootcamp and you will have some problems trying to get things to work. You can do basic stuff with those, but not the fun things. You need to decide now whether or not you want o actually use bootcamp and real windows or not. This will be the deciding factor of whether or not you play the game. Period. Sorry to break it to you, thats how it is. However, good news is, it doesn't take much space to do it, and using bootcamp is pretty simple. Question is are you willing to do it?

edit: Legit copy of windows means actually windows, whether stolen or not. I do not condone stealing, and my copy of windows was bought and paid for at the store. Hint, hint.
