People shooting through walls/floors/props, etc

/GG. There's nothing like being on the second floor and having a little rat, a little 14 year old imbecile shoot at you from below. This happened to me 5 minutes ago and I couldn't locate where the bullets came from so I went slowly down the stairs, the guy appeared from a wall at the bottom of the stairs and went into hiding again so I ran up and was aiming at the stairs, and he shot me through the floor and killed me, yet none of my body was glitched through the floor and I was somewhere on top of him on the second floor and he was on the first floor. Even if the kid ONLY had deleted his wall/whatever else game files or the likes so he could freely shoot through walls etc, he still wouldn't be able to locate me on the second floor - and he was using a Mosin btw.

Clearly this kid has wallhack as well, so that'd be the third time I've been killed by someone who obviously has wallhack and uses game exploits.

Aw, man, there's nothing as lovely as this. Ironically, this always happens in Elektro for me - the place where most players are when they're not heading for the airfield - yet surprisingly I don't hear people complaining about these sorts of things.

Deleting game files doesn't allow you to shoot through walls it simply makes walls "invisible" for you since the assets aren't loaded.

And if this dude was a hacker why would he not just miss with his first few shots but then allow you to sneak around for a while before killing you? Doesn't really make sense

For God's sakes, yes you can shoot through certain props due to old exploits from the Arma 2 client as well as the verification not being added yet, and I was shot from the floor of the first floor to my position above at the second floor.

There's huge spread on shooting if your weapon is damaged - could it be, could it be could it be that this kiddy cheater had a broken weapon? After all, BROKEN WEAPONS ARE SERVER SIDED, so this kid obviously did not want to face me as I was armed, and neither did I want to face him. I was shot unconscious ON THE SECOND FLOOR, WITH A GUY ON THE FIRST FLOOR. I had checked the place multiple times, I was the only on the second floor - yet I get shot unconscious and then die, shortly after having multiple shots being fired at me - EVEN when I was inside one of the rooms in that small apartment building in Elektro. I was INSIDE the apartment room at the second floor with the door closed yet a bullet hit very close to me.

I am so sick of these imbecile kids who buy cheats online. There's 3-4 major companies selling cheats for DayZ Standalone and one of them has sold many thousands of cheats for DayZ Standalone as it is highly ranked.

Of all the games a person could cheat in, that someone would choose DayZ standalone is unfathomable.

Yeah exactly there are glitches that allow you to shoot through walls. That has nothing to do with deleting game files nor with hacking but still you insist of this dude being a hacker.

I actually started tearing up when you claimed he deleted game files to kill you....

Its alpha.

If you lean into walls right now in 3rd person you can see through them, even worse there is a way to break the game and glitch INTO the walls.

Doing so can let you shoot players. Yes this happened to me at the NW airfield the other day. Very annoying.

But again, there is no hacking going on, just weak people taking advantage of game breaking bugs.

Don't worry, they will be gimped once these bugs get fixed.

Are you JOKING? What are the odds of hitting someone THROUGH the floor with a Mosin? If he had an M4 and he was spraying at my location THEN I could at least accept that it was possible but with a freaking Mosin, he shoots and kills me through the floor? Now, COME ON, you can't be so irrational as to suggest that he had no idea where I was - and I was constantly MOVING as anyone does in DayZ when they're threatened. Moving backwards and forwards constantly.

Btw, the reason he went back when I came halfway down the stairs was because I had a pistol and I was about to shoot this kid and he had his slow Mosin. I was clearly more powerful then him, but he went to hide so I went up again thinking he would've just run off.

But WHO said anything about hacking before yourself? Look how clueless you are. OBVIOUSLY nobody's hacking the servers - someone's using cheats for the game, though.

And for the record, you can - if there is no integrity check - easily at run-time manipulate the files so that you can see the walls but still shoot through them.

The kid had ESP though, 100%. If you claim otherwise you are irrational or you're trying to cover up this behavior because you, yourself have bought a cheat.

After some reading this is apparently a common issue that happened to my friend on Steam and other people, and it's easy to use this exploit as well.

Oh for God's sakes, this is the fourth or third time today that I've been killed through a wall in Elektro by a shooter who's cheating most obviously. Right now it was a guy with his M4 who shot me, and he had shot at least 3 others as I found their bodies lying around.

I went into one of those apartment buildings behind the church, I closed all doors and went up and checked that nobody was inside and I was standing by a wall with no windows or openings facing me, and I got shot dead with 2 or 3 consecutive shots - none of which missed me.

You'd be surprised. I've had hackers troll me for 10-20 minutes at a time. Calling out my location/gear as I move around a dead end room.. firing through the floor once in a while to screw with me. Yelling in their squeaky voices "you're going to die". The list goes on , it really is sad how little entertainment kids can find these days. No wonder most of the world is fat and stupid these days, kids don't even get outside any more to get their anger out.

I've also yet to see an aimbot. Lots of people that make you put your gun away and sit down etc. Most of them are terrible shots.

EXCACTLY! that happend to me just some moments ago. I saw that there was a player hiding in the wall. I went upstairs because he starte shooting. he kept shooting at me, than I was dead. Looks more like a glitch to me. Hope they fix that.
