Disable third person in combat.

You know in those cartoons where the characters are trying to catch each other but they are running round a table at the same speed.

It keeps happening to me in Dayz. i take cover behind a wall, The opponent is taking cover behind a wrecked vehicle at the other side of the wall.

We can both see each other in 3rd person & we are going round in circles trying to get the advantage.

When you enter pvp 3rd person should disable so neither side can see each other until one has been slain. Might even help unarmed fresh spawns a chance to escape.

I don't think its possible to make the game know when you are in pvp but maybe its possible to make it where you can't attack while in 3rd person.

Don't like 3PP:ON, join a 3PP:OFF server.

Third person has been a part of the engine, OFP, ArmA and DayZ since 2001. It's a subject that's been thoroughly discussed, but Bohemia Interactive has also offered the same solution since 2001, allowing server admins to restrict all players on their servers to first person view, if they prefer to.

Or you could play on 1st person only server. I hate 1st person...no sense in customizing my character if I can't see him. But I understand the combat point you mentioned.

plenty of servers are first-person only. Stick to those if you prefer it.

With the looting aspect of the game i think that 3rd person is needed.

You can see him in your inventory tab. Also this is considered an FPS Survival Open World MMO.. Anyway yea, you can join servers with 3PP:off..

3rd person has a huge advantage, you can look overwalls, around walls etc.

The advantages are for everyone though so it is still fair. However if you fail theres noone to blame but yourself. Its not cuz the guy saw you over a fence he shouldnt be able to. Its cuz you failed to see him.

it is not possible to disable 3rd person just in combat, at what point it shoud turn from 3rd to 1st person? it would be a mess.... yet solution is simple: play on 1st person only servers....
