Too scared to play now

I have heaps of food, water, medical supplies, a rifle and 2 pistols and now I'm too scared to play in case I lose it lol because it took me about 10 lives or so before I managed to even get a working gun.

Every minute in DayZ is a risk just like it would be in a real world zombie apocalypse. Every minute you are alive you would be at risk of dying. It would near to impossible to find a place to feel safe. Be thankful that DayZ allows you to logout haha!

I am horrible at this game, i only find bullets and rotten food. Zombies just walk through houses and kill me even when im proning and being quiet as possible; but i still love the game.

Experience in dayz is a HUGE thing, learn from things that happen and you will be good to go whenever you die! never get to hooked on gear, trust me it is alot of fun building on you're experiences and gearing up again.

In DAyZ, you need to punch the hell out of fear. The one rule I learned from playing DayZ is that you will LOSE your gear. Either from bandits, glitch, or hacked. Just have to get use to it. I've lost plenty of gear from all three options. So be ready to be hunted when you enter the game. P.S. Best to run with a group if you have a lot of supplies on you. ;)

This is the point of the game to survive and to die everybody looses gear and dies it's just how this game works you'll find more gear anyway

Don't let yourself get like this. Hunt the Rush, not the Gear. All you'll find yourself doing is playing shorter and shorter play sessions, being more nervous and scared of other groups, that ain't the way to go. One day someones going to get the drop on you - and you'll be really upset because you become so attached to your gear... try to get attached to the experience.

I became attached to a scope buddies and I were passing around in the group, we killed so many bandits with it it was a icon. I was sad when she went (we got balled up for once, ammo script kiddie. ;) )

yeh. at Stary in the mod.I said in Epoch, that was a version of the mod.

Just like real life then, if you get attached to all your shiz you will be in for a sory life. As shiz breaks/rusts/rots/gets stolen/you loose it.

This is very true. The first few times I got geared up I was paranoid about dying. Now however I know the map well enough I can run around without needing the online map. So finding gear is quite quick. Death is still fearsome but I don't have the near panick attacks you get the first time your geared up and run into another player :P

I think rule 1 is actually shoot people on sight.

To trust noone does not mean you have to snipe down every player in a radius of 500meters.
Learn to Play. Dont worry, i know its difficult for Players who played MMOs like WOW for a too long Time period.
