Why can't I interact with anything?!

I don't know why but when I open up the game everything is fine. Then, when I choose a server however, it takes me 5 minutes to connect. After I connect, I can walk around, but I cannot interact with anything. I can open my inventory, but can't move stuff around. I can't also use the hotbar keys and can't put stuff in my hands. I also can't interact with the enviroment such as opening doors and so on. However, if I press f when I'm at the door then recconnect, the door will be opened. I've never had this problem before and can someone please help? All my other Steam games are working fine so I'm really wondering if anyone else has this problem, please help.

It could be the container bug also... If you have storage cases or back packs in your equipped back pack try dropping them on the ground, reconnect to same server (or you will loose your stuff) and see if you can interact.

I have confirmed that having a backpack inside a backpack will cause items to not equip, doors to not open, and items to not be used from the inventory. I would suspect the same is true with the storage cases but I did not have one to test that with. I also did not have a first aid kit to test with.

I did also confirm that you can still have an ammo box in your backpack. that does not cause any issue.

This happens to me as well...I am however carrying a med kit and a protected case. I tried dropping my entire inventory on the ground and connecting to server again but was to no avail. This is the third time this has happened to me, the two times prior ending in death by zombie.

Dont carry the yellow protected case, ammo box or anything that is badly damaged, it triggers the desync issue.
