Is DayZ Worth the Money?

Hi guys. I've been looking at DayZ Standalone since it came out and I've been really anxious to buy it. However, the price tag is $30 and for me, that's pretty expensive for an alpha game. What I would like to know is if I should buy this game or not, and is it worth the money? I've seen a lot of negative reviews for it but also alot of positive reviews as well. Or, should I go and buy something that is similar to this such as 7 Days to Die which has a lower price tag. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

If you're for sure you'd like a finished version of Day Z I'd say buy it and then wait on it till it gets updated more.The game is super alpha right now so it's not exactly a great time, but it will be in the future when it costs more.

Sorry if that made you mad but I don't like to just spend money on something that might not be worth it. If it is worth the money however, I'd be ok with it.

But i just dont get it. 30$. If someone thinks that is "pretty expensive" then you are not doing the right thing with your money, i mean do you cut that 30$ out from your food budget? I dont get it.

A computer game can never "be worth it" if you cry blood over spending the cash in the first place.

bad game dont get it try something like warframe its a free game and 1000x better then DayZ and thats not just a made up number it is 1000x better then DayZ

Well, as I said, I would just like some feedback. I respect your opinion that $30 might not be expensive and all that, but in my opinion it is. It's just that.

Im sorry you found the post hostile. It was not my intention. I just explained to what i thought would be reasonable thinking if one person is afraid of putting 30$ into his/hers entertainment.

Wich then would result in the answer "no". No as in, "no it will not be worth it if you actually think 30$ is expensive, then you better buy food or clothes, since no game will ever be woth it from your point of view"

But if you actually have the money to spare, this is will be an even more awsome game down the road.

$30 get you the game now to see the progress of it up untill it gets finished or you can just wait till the game is finished and pay the same or again just wait for the sales

I did play the mod Day z for like 2 hours and didn't like it. The first 5 hours of it I didn't like it either, but now i'm getting used to the game and I think its awesome as ♥♥♥♥. Its an alpha, but still very fun and it's getting better with every update. Worth the shot. The price will only go up.

Don't buy waste of money, also a rip off for its current state its not even in steam sales, they are just gauging players and taking them for a bumpy ride. The developments its a bit joke. For an alpha this should be cheaper, to think they will put the price up on this later on is a joke.
