NEED LOOT RESPAWN!!! #1 Priority!
So the largest major issue I have come to realize is that server currently do no respawn loot except on reset. This needs to change immediately. I would say that this is the biggest issue currently. The game is pointless to play currently unless you happen to get on a server that just reset. Otherwise there willl be no loot anywhere throughout the entire server. You can literally travel for hours and never see loot. The only way to currently farm loot is to server hop non stop and hoipe you stumble into a fresh server and can quickly grab the good loot (aka ammo...) This is a huge problem. This game is meant to be played with you and a small group of friends traveling from location to location gathering up resources, surviving and killing hostiles. But currently all you can do is server hop until you get geared(if you get lucky) then go to a high point server and try to hunt others. But currently bodies despawn immediately after you kil them so... Really no loot to be had anywhere. This needs to change.

I would recommend some version where you have a timed cycle maybe? Every 15 minutes would seem appropriate to myself. Where the current loot laying around would despawn. Then fresh loot would spawn. This would solve many of the current issues with the game in my opinion. We just very badly need loot to respawn to make this game the best it can be!

If anyone else has suggestions please share!!!

But then it would be too easy :/

Have you looked for loot away from the coast? There is plenty of loot inland.
Also, dont just rely on soda. There are plenty of lakes and wells to get your water from.

P.S They will be adding a loot respawn as stated on the upcomming patch notes.

15min reset is way too fast if im honest.
Lol? I am leaving behind scopes and food and water cause I have too much stuff xD Ammo Box: Full; 4 Medkits: Full; M4 with ACOG, Suppressor, Bipod, Flashlight, 3 60-round Mags ALL IN PRISTINE CONDITION.

People got way too used to the Mods that gave everyone free guns. The game is supposed to be hard. You are supposed to die of hunger and thirst several times. Zombies are supposed to kill you.

If all you do is camp Cherno and Elektro, then yeah, no loot for you. If you keep hitting the NW:AF for military gear, then yeah, no loot for you either.

Right now, I have more loot than I can carry and whenever I take anyone along with me, they get kitted out in 2-3 hours.

And no, I won't share my secrets.

I would disagree. They have sold over 320,000 copies of the game currently. Think about all the people that need loot. Also the times you have found loot I am sure you were on a low population server just farming high loot areas. That should not be the only way to play the game. If I want to only play the game on high population servers and still be able to find loot, I should be able to. I should not be forced to farm low population servers to get my loot. Even doing that loot is scarce and ammo is very rare. With bodies currently despawning loot is more rare than ever.

If you think 15 minutes is too short, which I agree thinking about it now(maybe more like 30 mins), suggest a different length of a different way of spawning loot, such as a proximity trigger. Dont just say "No", make a suggestion. Thats what alpha is for!

No one needs or wants your secrets. Nor is anyone impressed. Also its laughable you suggest that loot not respawn. Just laughable.
Manduke, the majority of the mature DayZ gamers disagree with there needing to be more loot. Anyone who plays the game as a SURVIVAL sim (emphasis on survival) has no problem finding loot because the first rule of surviving is to not be seen.

I don't farm, I don't camp, I just explore the map. I am currently hitting every town and point of interest at least once to see what spawns there, because I'm interested in how they spread loot out. So far, it seems they focused the highmil loot in the NW. I HAVE found very good milloot locations on the eastern border and in the middle and these are usually unlooted.

Loot not respawning is a very immersive part of the game, because hey, loot doesnt respawn in real life.

This is an apocalypse, Manduke, you're not the first person to enter a city and not the first person to loot it. If the game is too hard for you, I suggest to try something easier. Like My Little Pony Princess Adventures.

And your proof for this statement is where? Oh thats right... Made up in your head. Cool story. Come back when you have meaningful things to say. K. Thanks. Bye.

PS Did you know 90% of statistics are made up.

Well, i happen to agree with Kaiser.

Just think about it. Once they add animals and cooking, finding a soda or a can of tuna wont matter so much.

First in first serve. Dedicated win. Just like real life.

Also, finding weapons should be hard. Imagine if it were easy. Call Of Duty anyone?

Rocket explicitely said that the loot is working as intended

He also said that the only thing that changes with respawn is that you won't have to restart the server anymore. It'll respawn at the same intervals as the server restarts used to happen

If you can't find any loot it's entirely your fault for being in the wrong place

Finding loot is ridiculously easy and im talking about on maxed out servers and i can easily go to balota or Cherno electro etc and find enough food and supplies to then head north.
It's my opinion that all these people complaining about their characters getting erased every time they change servers are Hoppers being hit by a background counter Hopper measure :D

If so, +Beans to Rocket xD

Actually loot does respawn in rl. think about it for a few minutes and then tell me you still want to use your "real life" crutch.
I'm sorry, my wallet had money it in. That money isnt respawning after I took it out. The food in my fridge isnt respawning either. The bullets for my gun don't just appear on the floor on their own. Teach me your lifehacks?
I happen to read somewhere that supplies, especially food and soda does respawn but only at a 4% chance. Think it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but.

I agree with one of the comment up there, the military hardware is too easy to find. I think they should add military zombies around the airports and camps so it'd be harder to collect military grade weapons.
