Storage boxes?

Anyone else find these storage boxes? maybe different sizes and colors?

Call it whatever you want but they are really handy stores 6x1slot items.
Gonna have to try and hide it somewhere see if its persistent. To bad its bright yellow :p

I think the purpose of it is to protect items from damage. Because when you get hit your inventory may get damaged.

Also if you try to hide it somewhere, it will probalby just dissapear after next server restart.

You are probably right about that i had several items ruined in my pockets from taking a beating. But it would be a cool supplement to tents.

Im going to put my can opener in it played for 10 hours and found 1 so far :p

I've also read that keeping perishable food items inside them makes them rot slower.

pretty sure they are 3x2 slots ... you can put saline canteens and pistols ect. in them

Those, Ammo boxes, and med packs are the best. It helps to have extra storage that takes up less space that also seems to have some protective abilities, havent found any in different colors but the seem to spawn in specific buildings that are the same as the Power Plant in Electro and no other types of buildings as far as I have seen. Crazy usefull though.

Really? It only takes up four spaces in my inventory and supports six inside of it.

So I found one in a small city, and it only takes up 4 slots (2x2), and can store 6 slots (3x2). I just put small foodstuffs and valuables like my can opener in it. The only reason why I keep it around is because it gives me more slots than I normally would, the only downside is that in order to open it I need to drop in on the ground, where other people in my party could theoretically grab the stuff; fortunately I travel with a small group of friends, none of which I would expect to take anything.

drop the box in your hands like you would to pull out a gun that way you don't have to drop the box

Empty your hands then place it in your hands. this will allow you to access the contents without dropping it

put a crappy mag in your gun and a 60 rnd mag in your storage box... reload to 60 rnd mag... open your box... this ♥♥♥♥ seriously needs to be fixed... i found this by mistake when it wasted a 60 rnd mag from my gun and duped me a 2nd 40 rnd mag ... angry times

Yeh it is, takes 4 slots gives 6 slots
