the VPN hasn't necessarily to be installed on your PC...it might be interconnected somewhere else in your home network or so.

Quote from Dayz Reddit bot:

Some, not all, modded servers use admin tools like BattleMetrics or Omega/CFTools that allow them to kick players who use VPN(since cheaters tend to use VPN).

Those tools use a service that maintains a database of known VPN IP ranges. You either need to get your IP fixed/whitelisted with the service (doubtful), fixed/changed with your ISP (maybe) or whitelisted on the individual server (possible).

Visit https://www.iplocation.net/ Does it show your expected IP address? Try a site like http://www.whatismyproxy.com/ or http://www.ipqualityscore.com/ . Do either of those show you are using a VPN?

The other possibility is if you live in an apartment block, you may be using "shared internet" and there is, in fact, a VPN on the main Modem/Router/Switch for the apartment block.

Why would you ever consider sharing an internet connection with
a WHOLE apartment block? Just crazy.

I thought America was a "free" country. Don't you get to choose for yourself?
Is it some kind of law? I'm seriously curious because here we have choices.
