Why does it seem that people don't enjoy official servers?

Cheaters, custom servers you don't have to put up with the trash.

Active admin community servers yes. Any old modded with hardly administration is probablV the safest place to cheat. The number of cheats depends a lot on the servers. Russians and Chinese are notorious while the servers in the middle of nowhere see few. In my experience anyway. I imagine Europe has the most, just a guess.

im on 2 i enjoy them we get a aimbot no were u are guy on every say 4 weeks and then he must leave

Official is great if you dont know the game.
I enjoyed it very much in begining when I had nothing to lose, I died to hackers withoutb even realizing it (I was told by others in the server later that there is a hacker killling everyone)

But once you learn the game, stay out of official, its heaving for cheaters, and once u learn the game youn want to actually play it and set some long term goals.

DO NOT invest in official, everything u do can be deleted pretty easly by hackers who grief u just for fun, they wont even take much...just destroy storange and let everything despawn for fun..

Find a community server, u can find non modded which will give u the official game with admins who actually care

Seems impossible to find non modded. Everything that has a high population is a totally unbalanced modfest with like Gauss Rifles and all kinds of stuff that the devs didn't balance the game for. I wish I could play in a full pop vanilla server with admins who care.

try "spaggies". populated vanilla servers. no mods, no changes to weather or the loot economy.
im sure theres other populated vanilla servers.

Actually a lot of the mods fix things making the game better and not so half assed.

In my short story of playing dayz (~300h) i found cheater one time. I played only on official servers.
I like oficial servers, for me community are overmoded and game loses its atmosphere

Yeah; the servers I've seen on my region feel overly modded.. also it seemed to me like the community was more toxic in them than in official servers; but I have a small sample to look at so maybe I just got unlucky on community servers.
