Anybody use Turtle Beach X12's?

I recently bought these and I am running windows 8.1 but when I plug them in my Pc doesn't even recognise the devise. Usually it should run a little install like when you plug in a mouse of keyboard but this doesn't happen. I can hear my sounds through the headset but the mic doesn't workat all.

Can anybody help me resolve this?

The problem is not your headphones, you answered your own question in the first line of your post when you stated you're running W8.

i couldn't be sure,,,,never had to DL drivers for it.....don't see one for windows 8...maybe the 7/vista driver is compatable? (which is the first one)

never had issues like that with my x12's, one time i accidently disabled the mic hardware in the sound manager, took me a few minutes to figure that out but thats about it. theres nothing special about the x12 to difer it from another generic headset/mic. so there are no drivers for it.

i also have these, i just plugged straight in, G,P,USB, Worked first time, i`m running windows 7 ultimate

Do you have two connectors for sound and mic or just one ? I had to use a splitter for my headset and i got it of amazon for a couple of dollars and it solved my problem of only sound but no mic
