steam says dayz is already running won't boot..

yeah, read carefully, steam says app is already running, checked in task manager, IT IS NOT LISTED AS RUNNING, i type this i caps cause it seems some people can't read, any ideas on how to fix it? tried restarting steam several times but nothing works.

i'll say it again i case you missed it: IT IS NOT LISTED AS RUNNING IN TASK MANAGER!

not being rude, making sure people actually read it, i found a topic about this exact same issue, and in every reply people said to the OP to check task manager, when he clearly stated in his first post it wasn't showing in his process list/task manager.

yeah just did yet to try it again, just seemed odd that steam thought it was running when windows shows it isn't, being the lack of process in the task manager.

I have had the exact same issue, I temporarily removed DayZ from the install location, rebooted my pc and launched steam again and copied the files back to the location in Steam.

My issue were the same as yours, wont show up in the Task Manager, however, windows keeps something running for DayZ

That solved my issue, not an easy one to fix though.
