How rare is it to find a Longhorn? And Ammo? I'm just curious since I found them.

They are not too rare. They use mosin ammo.

Personally, I have never seen one. That would suggest that they are an exceptionally rare spawn.

The only Pistol that I have seen in the game lately though is the Makarov, and that's that, absolutely nothing else, no matter where I have searched.

Well I found it in a house near a Industrial Area.

Which is why only it's scope is worth anything. Revolver is a much better handgun.

Thanks for the info, but honestly, I don't feel in need of a Long Horn at the minute. I already have an AKM and an AKS-74U. Apart from which, the ammunition type for the Long Horn, isn't as abundant as it used to be.

Not that rare the spawn anywhere that civilian pistols spawn. The places I know of are:
Fire stations (including up on the tower).
Police stations.
Small school/office building, top floor.

The Longhorns aren't rare and spawn in lots of places. I tend not to take them unless that's all I have. I used them for hunting and Z sniping.

My character at the mo is running with one, simply for theg iggles (havnt got a hand gun so took it since it shares the ammo with my mosin).

Ive actually seen quite a few, I remember when they were pretty damn rare months back. The Longrange scope on em is nice, havent tried to use one as a sniping gun since the one bullet at a time reload from inventory kinda puts me off, but I think they'd be rather effective in the hands of someone with good ping and decent aiming.

long horn shows up now and again. My character has been carrying one for a few weeks, nainly used for long distance zombie and animal shots when bored, best pistol I have found is the old 1911
