didnt u understand? if u cant connect to a server then u cant play dayz! u can start up the game but u cant actually play it!

Don't get cofused by the "technically yes". To play the game, you need to connect to a server, and both your client's and the server's version have to be the same. Since all servers are controlled by the devs and kept on the latest version, there are no servers with older versions of the game, hence you can not play older versions of the game.

Beause people make private servers with old versions of Day Z, but that's like version 0.28 old.

That's the only reason that I can think of anyway.

0.45 was it i think. That was the version of which the source code got leaked. The server files haven't been accessible prior to and after this incident, so this is the only version people can set up a private server with. However, those servers i've seen have been hacking testing ranges that got downed by the GPS quite quick.

You may be CR. The point being though, is that it is highly doubtful that anyone would want old versions of Day Z SA, for legitimate purposes.

Well, there are people out there that are not that happy with the direction the game has taken while they had more fun in earlier versions ( or less performance problems etc ).

But for 80% of the cases, I simply have to agree with you.
