well the hunter backpack is much more camoflauged and the mountain backpacks stick out a lot except for the green ones. the brightly colored ones are much more common than the green ones which are also camoflauged. The hunter backpack also isnt as big and u can look over ur shoulder in first person unlike the mountain backpacks

If you go to scavenge supplies I like the tortilla backpack, good size and good looking :P going to pvp courier is the best or not backpack at all if you have a high capacity vest.

You rarely need to carry so much you need a Mountain pack. You can survive even without a backpack at all. It's all about keeping a low profile.

You can break down the hunting backpack and use the sticks for a splint

I prefer the green dry bag and the hunting backpack

Gorka pants?

At that point, I will likely only wear water proof gear, since storage space won't be the only benefit received from choosing the proper clothing for the environment.

I'm thinking along the same lines.

Get a kiddo backbag, kappa ;)

It also depends. Mountain backbag has more slots than other ones, but it's littlebit easier to spot and blocks your backview (FP mode).

Hunting bag is good for stealth and it has 30 slots. It's also my personal fav. The SPOSN one is, I would say a military, better camo variant of the drybags. Also they hold long, vertical items like fishings rods, improvised bows and other long items.

Drybag is kind of like the SPOSN one, but keeps everything dry. Good for humid areas, underwater missions or swimming expeditions.

I'd have to agree with MaZ's description of the variety of uses for each backpack, personally I really never overstocked in what I would carry (pre-CLE) so a small backpack would easily suffice be it the Taloon, Improvised or leather courier bag. But ever sense the CLE and not being one for setting up a camp and constantly on the move. I've found myself searching out the bigger variants because you just never know what loot you may come across and everything seems to have a value and could so easily prolong your survival.
Gonna list out the rest now:

The improvised backbag is good for stealth, it holds 20 items and can be torn down for parts. The leather variant is the same, execpt you need leather instead of a sack and it holds 25 items.

The leather sack-bag (or whatever it was) is the same, except it's kind of like an improvised variant of the drybag.

The taloon bag holds 25 slots and is one of those backpacks you take for the time being before you've found something better. I personally prefer the improvised backpack though, it's good for stealth.

The kid bag is the same as the taloon one, but it has about 10 slots.

the SMERSH one is kind of useless unless you find the vest.

Yes that would be nice, or even if they added a hazmat suit or something of that nature. But at the moment without rain it is the least of survivors concerns.

Are the animal skin clothes waterproof?

Cadderley, I kinda hope so to. I hope they add in those pants for the raincoat. I mean in The Netherlands you have them, no idea tbh if they got it in other countries too but look, it would be great :D It would fit in. For me the perfect reason to search blue raincoat and pants ;D
