it all depends. . . .

Hunting backpack has 30 slots i think, or maybe its 28. Theres also the tortilla backpack which is only 28. I like the hunting pack cause it looks cool. And its big. Its more realistic imo.

Why do people like TTskO over Gorka? or vice versa?

I use the hunting above the mountain bp because of sight, i mainly play on 1st person only servers and having a giant bp in the way when using "Alt" kinda sucks :)

I actually prefer to use the Dry Bag, if I can find one. Simply because it is water proof.

Eventually, I am hoping that the Dev's will add water proof trousers.

At that point, I will likely only wear water proof gear, since storage space won't be the only benefit received from choosing the proper clothing for the environment.

no backpack is the best backpack btw :)
If you need a largest backpack, mountain backpack is better but it can only be found in barrack or prison building(2 flr). Hunting backpack is much smaller but it is easy to be found and it has better camouflage than mountain backpack.
Just see what you like. Hunting backpack is better for Sinpers to ambush, and mountain backpack can put more objects

When you suspect you are going into a combat situation it is always a good idea to leave your backpack hidden somewhere nearby and carry only the essentials with you. No matter if you get killed, you will be able to retrieve many of your stuff that way.

If you play 1st person, the hunting backpack lets you look over your shoulder effectively.

Gotta agree. Dropping your pack is a good tactic for combat, also for Scouting runs, the backpack might blend in with the grass, but adds unneeded bulk to your outline.

I personally don't care what pack I'm using as long as it's dull green. If I'm lucky a Hunting pack, just depends on what the loot gods decide to hand me.

courier sack, why? because i dont need to hoard and i fit everything i need+more with cloths vest etc etc. A lot of the time i end up without it as its served its purpose and i can survive without one ;P

Get a kiddo backbag, kappa ;)

It also depends. Mountain backbag has more slots than other ones, but it's littlebit easier to spot and blocks your backview (FP mode).

Hunting bag is good for stealth and it has 30 slots. It's also my personal fav. The SPOSN one is, I would say a military, better camo variant of the drybags. Also they hold long, vertical items like fishings rods, improvised bows and other long items.

Drybag is kind of like the SPOSN one, but keeps everything dry. Good for humid areas, underwater missions or swimming expeditions.

I'd have to agree with MaZ's description of the variety of uses for each backpack, personally I really never overstocked in what I would carry (pre-CLE) so a small backpack would easily suffice be it the Taloon, Improvised or leather courier bag. But ever sense the CLE and not being one for setting up a camp and constantly on the move. I've found myself searching out the bigger variants because you just never know what loot you may come across and everything seems to have a value and could so easily prolong your survival.

camouflage and I THINK it protects against rain / wet somewhat, setting it apart from mountain.

Myself I prefer the Hunting over everything else. Mainly because, in my eyes, its better for camouflage if you are on the ground in the forest and you see someone geared, suppose its a harmful player and you want to engage. With a bright orange or yellow drybag, sometimes you get spotted.

I also like the amount of space and somehow it reminds me of my own backpack :D
However if I can't find that backpack, Talloon is the bomb for me :D

Noctoras, it does protect from rain, at least now. I don't know if they changes that.
