What is CLE? I just started playing last week or so. Also, do heli's always spawn in exact locations, or proximity, because I seen one that was half in the buss garage south of Vavilovo. The tail was in the garage then the front was outside glitched in the building.
No matter how far inland I go, I almost never see anything good in high value areas. For example, if you go to the most remote and unvisited long barrack on the map which I think is the singe one that is in the middle of nowhere north of Severograd, you will almost never find anything good inside that barrack no matter which server you go into.
Now, helicopters are another issue since they don't always stay in the same place normally, so that is amazing that they don't have items.
All in all, they are right, just wait until CLE, the loot should be working better then.
The spawns are controlled by the legacy loot system, which is terrible for making loot so predictable and specifically locatable.
The CLE, Central Loot Economy is going to change that all up. Loot will be found in many different places, spread out, so no more concentrated loot of certain types in certain buildings, etc. The amount of loot will be controllable on the fly by the devs.
Loot will also become more scarce as time goes on to the point it should become hard to find loot - you might not see a can of food for days for instance.
The loot explosions are a big problem of the old legacy system. We shouldn't see these after the CLE is implemented.
They are just bugged and btw. somewhere in the dev reports, it also says that they're working on fixim them. So please don't tell the poor guy what he could do to find heli loot in 0.55 - because he simply wont :-)
That's also not entirely true. This is valid for some servers, not for others. The loot explosions vary from server to server with regards to the location. Those telling you about "NWAF and Vybor" only might only be hopping servers at prison or NW. If you walk around the map on some servers you will just bump into loot explosions somewhere and find a barren NWAF for instance.
