Frying Pan, broken?

I am wondering on how to use the frying pan because everytime i use it on my fire it doesn't cook or even heat up, including any meat i put in it, i have used it both on a fire and a gas stove and yet both times the frying pan just get placed ontop of them and placed vertically, so i am wondering if the frying pan is broken.

It's not designed for cooking food.It acts as a heat deflector when used with a gas canister.

I don't think it ever worked with the fire. But should work with gas stove.

Gas Oven always makes my food burn. It's kind of sad you can't put a pan on a fire instead of a rock.

You have to add WATER to anything you cook or it will burn. Monitor closely and as soon as it changes from raw to cooked take it off the fire.
