Complain about lack of electricity.
I consider myself a force of natural selection. I destroy the geared teams (the T-Rexs) so that the littrle guys (mammals) can thrive.
Robin Hood 'robbed', not 'boomed'... if you kill off all your avenues for material gain the flow of wealth kinda dries up pretty quickly... now if you held people up and made them divulge of their goods then let them go on their way, then that would be being a Robin Hood.
Me in the zombie apocalypse... like the rest of you all, will be confused, paniced and scared as all hell. Anyone who says otherwise is talking bollocks.
Eitherway, the world will be different, and there wont be any coming back from it no matter how prepared you are for it... maybe ill go live with the Amish, those fellers are the only ones who could possibly survive this on a long term resource level, their already pretty much unplugged to begin with and decently isolated and a fairly decent bunch of people... granted, if one person has an idea, someone else will have the same idea too so communities like that would be flooded in no time.
Since in game no one has conscience nor remorse...yes, you kill without feeling a thing.
But in real life killing another human being is not like that. Why do you think psychiatrists make evaluations to cops or army men if they kill someone? Because it's not a game. It's real world and you have to be a natural born killer to murder someone in cold blood just because you want it so and get out sane from that thing or not blowing your own brains.
While I understand the point you're making...
The Army didn't make us talk to someone after we killed somebody. Some people chose to optionally, the rest of us did not.
I wouldn't worry about barricading or sheltering so much, because I would feel that the second I start feeling comfortable would be the second I slip up and die. I'd want to say I'd try to stay out in the woods somewhere, but on second thought, I don't really think I'd have the stones for it.
As far as other groups go, I would mostly avoid any interaction unless I'd have a good long time to vett them, and even then, if I did meet up with them, I'd fully aknowlegde the fact that they could kill me dead right there and be done with it.
But what I constantly think is that contrary to some of the other opinions on this post, the likelyhood of being murdered by another human being during the zombie apocolypse would be just about as likely as getting murdered without the zombie apocolypse. The reason being is that other people are just about the most valuable resource you can have, whether your a "good guy" or "bad guy" (for lack of better words).
If your a good guy, then obviously gather like-minded people and fortify an area to use as sanctuary for the weak and innocent. You know, that old chestnut.
But if your a bad guy, wouldn't it make more sense to use other people as slaves, (or food if it got that bad)? Just think of DayZ, like your looting a police station or whatever and find all these bad ass guns and toys. "Sweet! I'll take them all!" but you can't carry all that ♥♥♥♥, so find someone and strap a backpack on them and bind their arms. When you don't have anymore use for them, then do away with them.
#2: Taking prisoners / slaves would not justify the end.
You would be in constant fear of reprisal and members of your group would have to not just stand picket against outsiders but also for insider attacks.
You would have to search for food to keep them alive whilst covering then as they would more than likely abscond at the first opportunity whilst scavenging themselves. If you decided to work them until they starved the act of reprisal would be far more likely and all it takes is a handful of dirt in the eyes and a strike to the throat and you're in trouble.
You need to simplify the process.... Fresh water or constantly boiling water at intervals plus renewable sources of nutrition and the process of moving between "safe" camps in a random pattern...
