But the heavy modded servers are def the most popular which sucks for me. its corny playing a game "surviving" with a baretta 50 cal and pants that have marjuana leaves on them, then a honda civic drives by... it wasnt just "bigger guns bigger fun" for me, i enjoyed the unique interaction and stuff.
the issue u describe is just a theory. in theory u can spawn in berezino, collect the nbc gear nearby, go rify, stash, rinse and repeat. but the reality looks quite different. u said it yourself: "A lot of players arent the types to build stashes and save up NBC gear, gas filters, charcoal for dedicated runs to get these items".
also going to rify as banana man (the grey nbc gear only spawns in tier 4) is quite risky. freshies have access to sniper rifles/shotguns and its ammo straight at the coast.
and thats the bigger issue for me. the central loot economy is far from balanced. compared to the alpha version of the game, the character progress has reached lightspeed. u can fast and easy gear up being close to the coast. weapons with fitting ammo and magazines (and the military convoys and police situations now close to the spawnarea), endless canned food supplies, warm clothing, big backpacks... this is all available straight at the coast in a way too high amount.
vehicles work fine for me and they clearly have improved with the last 2 patches. they still run server-side, so there will be always issues if the network is bad.
and adding stamina was probably the best decision they made. + its adjustable for server owners.
you should really create a pinned thread
and put all this type of stuff in there,
label it "Rants and Reviews" or "Strong Opinions"
same as you have with the "Surge of Hackers" thread
Cough. I'm sorry. That was childish of me.
"What an interesting thread topic you have chosen here. What could possibly go wrong?"
